Milestone 2: Finishing the Project Proposal

Welcome back to my weekly Design Studio blog, where I'll be discussing a VR project targeted towards Ingenium's Digital Innovation lab!

This week, my team and I have finalized our idea/concept for a VR escape room, which take place in the Ingenium Digital Innovation Lab (See Milestone 1 for a refresher). Now, our main goal is to complete the project proposal, which entails detailing key features, listing technical requirements, designing concept diagrams, and etc. My main contributions to the proposal was refining our idea, creating the pitch, and illustrating the wireframes and storyboards. Overall, we're quite close to finishing, all that's left to do is to complete the "Design Comps" section and we'll be ready to submit!

Challenges: The biggest challenge this sprint was trying to formalize our idea and maintaining a consistent vision in each group member's minds. I feel like there were multiple ideas floating around that led to miscommunication or varying/clashing design concepts for the project. Thankfully, we were eventually able to simmer the idea down into one congruent idea.

Successes: The biggest success this sprint was the team's ability to work on individual sections of the project proposal whilst communicating with each other. Throughout the process of creating the proposal, I took notice to the team's strength in quickly communicating ideas towards other's assigned sections, leading to tasks getting finished much quicker than expected.

Show-and-Tell: Here's a flowchart of a player's expected experience as they play and interact with our escape room design!
